The Tree of Jesse
Amanda from Outside the Box Design Studio has a wonderful project for December. It's called The Tree of Jesse and here is what Amanda wrote about it and here is the link at GoDigitalScrapbooking:
The Tree of Jesse is a hybrid kit. It is very unique and special. It is for families to use around the dinner table, or in family times to remember the life of Christ and His heritage. Here is some background;
The passage in Isaiah, 11:1 is: "There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots. Jesus is the "shoot of Jesse".
In the New Testament the lineage of Jesus is traced by two of the Gospel writers, Matthew and Luke. Luke describes the "generations of Christ" in Chapter 3 of Luke's Gospel, beginning with Jesus himself and tracing backwards through his "earthly father" Joseph all the way to Adam.
Matthew's Gospel opens with the words: "The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham".[3] With this beginning Matthew makes clear Jesus' whole lineage: He is of God's chosen people, by his descent from Abraham, and he is the "shoot of Jesse" by his descent from Jesse's son, King David.
There is a Tree to cut out, and then each ornament is significantly related to Christ's lineage and events in His own life.

Outside the Box Design Studio
Amanda of Outside the Box Design Studio has been really busy! I have a few layouts done and more to do. GoDigitalScrapbooking is where you can find her store. Christmas Candy is a festive kit for your holiday pics. Find it here.
Christmas Whimsy is another Christmas kit, this layout just seemed to come together so fast! Christmas Whimsy is here.
I decided the best way to introduce all of you to The Tree of Jesse was to copy and paste what Amanda told all of us. It is a beautiful project and very meaningful for this time of year. Here is the link at GoDigitalScrapbooking.

Christine Mortimor has really been busy. Here is just one of her new kits: Alphabet Soup. Of course the teacher part of me loves this kit. If I wasn't retired I would probably use this kit to set up my room!
Winter Wonderland
We still had snow on the ground this morning when I left, Gracie says winter is almost here! I've been waiting to scrap with this kit until it snowed so here it is. Twilight Snowfall by Jeanine DeOre

Thankful by Rumki Designs
Rumki Designs has just released Thankful at Scrapping Fairytales. I love the colors and elements. I wanted to do 2 different looks with the same kit, it's amazing how changing the predominate color gives a totally different look.

Scrapping Fairytales
I just can't help it, I love Designer Challenges! Scrapping Fairytales is having one for the month of October and we are just finishing up the 1st week. We had 3 different color palettes to choose from and had to make something fantastic from a button! I made a fairytale carriage with a pink pumpkin, what fun that was! Right now you can go to Scrapping Fairytales and download kits for free. There are over 30 participants and there are some really great creations in the bunch. Here's the Gallery Preview of my kit-Frog Prince.
The Gallery link is right here at Scrapping Fairytales.
